Many residents and visitors now view Da Nang as a vibrant city that is constantly active and filled with events throughout the year.
According to Truong Thi Hong Hanh, director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, organizing events and activities year-round is part of the city’s strategy to maintain its tourism appeal and ensure that visitors feel welcomed regardless of when they arrive.
Since late 2025, Da Nang has hosted a series of large-scale events that have attracted significant media attention and large numbers of visitors.
Toward the end of the year, the city organized the Tet Viet Festival, featuring a variety of cultural activities and experiences aimed at international tourists.
Entering the new year, celebrations marking the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day (the 10th day of the third lunar month), Reunification Day on April 30, and International Workers’ Day on May 1 were held across the city, creating a festive atmosphere.
Following those events, Da Nang launched its Food Tour Festival. Supported by major sponsors, including beer brands and e-commerce platforms, the festival featured activities at multiple venues and attracted considerable public interest.
One of the highlights was My Khe Beach and surrounding coastal areas, which remained crowded throughout April and May as residents and visitors gathered to enjoy specialties from different regions of Vietnam.
While this year’s Food Tour Festival was still underway, the city introduced another major event series, Enjoy Da Nang.
Scheduled to take place from July 22 to 26, the program will feature more than 50 cultural, sports, and tourism activities with the goal of boosting summer tourism.

Among the city’s many festivals and events, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) stands out as one of its most prominent attractions.
Nearly two decades after it was first launched, DIFF has grown far beyond an annual tourism event, becoming a signature brand that helps promote the appeal of Da Nang on the global stage.
The opening night of DIFF 2026 on Saturday once again illuminated the city along the Han River.
The 10,000-seat grandstand and public viewing areas on both riverbanks were packed with spectators eager to watch the fireworks displays.
Each edition of DIFF attracts more than one million visitors, serving not only as a driver of tourism growth but also as a symbol of the city’s vitality, aspirations, and rapid development.
According to Nguyen Manh Hung, chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, the city is entering a new stage of development with the goal of becoming a modern city that preserves its cultural identity while offering a high quality of life and an attractive investment environment.
He said the fireworks festival is not only a unique tourism product but also an event that helps promote the city’s image, economy, culture, sports, and tourism to international audiences.
Hung noted that Da Nang is proud that DIFF was named by Travel + Leisure as one of the world’s nine must-experience summer festivals, a recognition from the international community of the event’s appeal, scale, and artistic value.
