DIFF 2026 plans were presented on Wednesday at a meeting of the Da Nang People's Committee.
The proposal outlines a six-night festival scheduled to run from May 30 to July 11 under the theme 'Da Nang - United Horizons.'
As such, two Vietnamese teams, the Da Nang Fireworks Team and Z21 Vina Pyrotech, will compete alongside international teams from China, Italy, Germany, Portugal, France, Japan, Macau (China), and Australia, underscoring the festival's growing international profile.
As in previous years, DIFF 2026 will be organized under the guidance of the Da Nang People's Committee, with Sun Group and Apollo Media and Trading Co., Ltd. (APL) overseeing the festival's organization.
Fireworks will again be launched from the Han River Port area, while the main grandstand and stage will be located along Tran Hung Dao Street.
This confirms that the overall layout of the event, including viewing and staging areas, will remain unchanged.
The clarification follows recent speculation on social media that the festival might be relocated to Da Nang Downtown along the Han River axis and Phan Dang Luu Street.
The rumors emerged after the city announced adjustments to a broader planning framework for facilities serving the fireworks festival on both banks of the Han River.
Under the current plan for DIFF 2026, however, no change of location has been proposed.
