Da Nang’s Management Board for Transport and Agriculture Projects said the contractor would plant new trees in September after monitoring showed several could not grow normally.
The landscaping work has not yet been handed over to the city’s management.

The sidewalk project, which runs along Thang Long Street from Da Nang Downtown amusement park, formerly known as Asia Park, to the former Cam Le District area, was completed in March.
While most trees have grown as expected, some remain leafless or have fallen.

The board said this is the first Da Nang project to use trumpet trees (Tabebuia), alongside other species such as Bauhinia, purple cassia, and bamboo.
The project also includes bike lanes, walking paths, seating areas, exercise equipment, smart public toilets, and new lighting.
It was built by a consortium of Quang Minh Construction, Soi Sang Construction, and Kinh Bac Design and Construction Consulting, and began in April 2024.
