Police in Tay Ho Commune, Da Nang said on Friday they had completed an investigation and handled a traffic safety violation committed by a local teenager.
Earlier, a video circulated on Facebook showing a teenager lying on a motorcycle seat and steering the vehicle without using either hand while riding on a road.
Police suspected the incident took place on Provincial Road DT615 passing through Cam Khe Village in Tay Ho Commune.
Officers launched an investigation and identified the rider as T.T.N., a 17-year-old resident of Tay Ho Commune.

According to his statement, at around 4:30 pm on June 3, while riding on DT615 Road from Chien Dan Commune toward Son Cam Ha Commune in Da Nang, he took both hands off the handlebars while operating the motorcycle.
During the trip, he also lay stretched out on the seat and failed to wear a helmet.
Police noted that at the time of the incident, N. was not old enough to legally operate a motorcycle with an engine displacement of 50cc or more.
Tay Ho Commune Police issued a violation report and temporarily seized the motorcycle along with related documents.
In the presence of his legal guardian, N. acknowledged the dangers posed by his reckless actions to both himself and other road users and signed a commitment not to repeat the behavior.
Tay Ho Commune Police have transferred all documents, evidence, and the seized vehicle to the Da Nang Traffic Police Division for further handling.
