The project is scheduled to be implemented from 2025 to 2027.
In phase 1, the city will install new decorative lighting on the Nguyen Van Troi Bridge and architectural lighting on the Tien Son Bridge.
Additionally, the artistic lighting systems on four other bridges — Thuan Phuoc, Han River, Dragon, and Tran Thi Ly — will be upgraded.
The project also includes artistic lighting for the water surface using skylight systems installed on the bridges.
These skylight-style lights, which simulate natural or artistic lighting effects from above, will illuminate the river surface below and enhance the nighttime urban landscape with architectural and artistic highlights.
Four laser lights projecting into the sky will be installed on Thuan Phuoc, Han River, Dragon, and Tran Thi Ly Bridges.
Eight additional laser lights will be mounted on these bridges to project onto the water surface, creating dynamic lighting effects on key points along the Han River.

A central control unit will also be installed to coordinate lighting scenarios across all bridges.
Phase 2 of the project will focus on artistic lighting along the embankments and railings on both sides of the Han River, from Tran Thi Ly Bridge to Thuan Phuoc Bridge.
This phase includes the installation of new railings where absent and repairs to damaged sections within the project area.
High-rise buildings along both banks of the Han River will be encouraged to install lighting systems that reflect onto the water, adding further visual highlights to the riverfront.
The project is invested in and managed by the Da Nang management board of civil and industrial engineering and technical infrastructure projects.
