Da Nang to launch tour to Son Tra Peninsula inspired by Bill Gates visit

The Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches announced that it is inviting businesses, organizations and individuals to register to participate in the pilot tea experience model at Ban Co Peak.

According to the management board, the initiative is part of efforts to refresh Da Nang's ecotourism offerings and create new experiences for visitors exploring Son Tra Peninsula.

The program is expected to support the development of high-quality tourism services closely connected with nature and resort-style relaxation experiences.

The tea experience model is designed to provide visitors with a private and relaxing atmosphere amid the mountains and forests, targeting travelers seeking rest and scenic enjoyment.

Businesses operating in tourism, culture and culinary services are being encouraged to participate in developing models aligned with sustainable tourism goals.

Applications for participation will be accepted until May 30.

The Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches said the idea for the tea experience tour at Ban Co Peak was inspired by strong public interest following Bill Gates' visit to Da Nang in March 2024.

During his stay in the city, the billionaire visited Son Tra Peninsula and enjoyed tea at Ban Co Peak.

The tea experience activities are expected to take place during morning and afternoon sessions, allowing visitors to watch the sunrise and sunset. Depending on weather conditions, the schedule may be adjusted.

The tea area will be arranged near the statue of the Fairy Chess Player, a well-known check-in destination at Ban Co Peak.

Ban Co Peak is located nearly 700 meters above sea level and about 10 kilometers from downtown Da Nang.

It is one of the city's most popular tourist attractions thanks to its panoramic views overlooking Da Nang City, the sea and Son Tra Peninsula.
