Philippine Airlines will operate three flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with plans to increase to four flights per week starting November 2025.
The airline is using the Airbus A321 aircraft, which seats 199 passengers, including 12 business-class seats.
A formal welcome ceremony for Philippine Airlines’ inaugural flight was held at the international arrival terminal of Da Nang International Airport.
The event was attended by representatives from the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company, Philippine Airlines, and other related units.
Various activities marked the celebration of the inaugural flight, including a traditional water cannon salute, cultural performances, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, presentation of flowers and souvenirs to passengers, and commemorative photos.
“The launch of Philippine Airlines’ flight to Da Nang coincides with the first day Da Nang officially operates with its newly expanded geographical space and tourism product and service ecosystem,” said Nguyen Thi Hoai An, deputy director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
The current Da Nang City is formed from the consolidation of the former Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province, starting Tuesday.
According to An, Da Nang continues to diversify its international tourism markets, especially nearby countries in Southeast Asia, through various promotional and marketing campaigns.
Da Nang places special emphasis on attracting airlines to open new flight routes to the city.

With this new route, the total number of weekly flights from Manila to Da Nang has increased to 12, contributing to greater passenger exchange between the two major urban centers of the Philippines and Vietnam.
According to statistics from the General Statistics Office, over 65,000 Philippine visitors traveled to Da Nang in 2024.
In the first five months of 2025, more than 49,000 Philippine tourists arrived in Da Nang, a 2.26-fold increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Philippine Airlines is the national flag carrier of the Philippines.
Its fleet consists of Boeing, Airbus, and De Havilland aircraft, operating direct flights from Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao to 31 domestic destinations and 38 international destinations across Asia, North America, Australia, and the Middle East.
Currently, Philippine Airlines operates a total of 24 direct flights per week from Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi to the Philippines.
