Northern Vietnam hydropower dam collapse causes $1.9mn in damage

The Bac Khe 1 hydropower dam in Tan Tien Commune, Lang Son Province, northern Vietnam collapsed on Tuesday following heavy rains brought by storm Matmo, the 11th to hit the East Vietnam Sea in 2025, causing an estimated VND50 billion (US$1.9 million) in damage.
