Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper held a meeting last week with participating businesses and organizations to finalize preparations for the event, including exhibition activities and visitor engagement programs.
The Digital Finance Day 2026, themed 'Smart Payments Promote Digital Finance,’ is organized by Tuoi Tre in coordination with the Payment Systems Department under the State Bank of Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, and the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS), under the direction of the central bank and the municipal administration.
One of the key highlights of this year's event is the expansion of its digital safety and anti-fraud experience zone.
Unlike previous editions, which primarily focused on payment services and financial promotions, the 2026 event will place greater emphasis on cybersecurity awareness and fraud prevention.
For the first time, the Department of Cybersecurity and Hi-Tech Crime Prevention under the Ministry of Public Security will participate with a dedicated exhibition area.
Nguyen Tien Long, a representative of the team designing the department's interactive space, said that the exhibit will recreate many of the most common hi-tech scams through visual simulations, helping visitors recognize and better understand the tactics used by fraudsters.
Among the featured displays will be recordings of actual scam phone calls.

Visitors will be able to listen to conversations in which criminals impersonate police officers, state officials, or representatives of public agencies.
“The scenarios selected represent some of the latest and most widespread fraud schemes,” Long said.
“Through these scenarios, people can learn how scammers manipulate emotions, create pressure, or build trust before requesting account verification or money transfers."
Besides, the event will feature analytical presentations that break down scam scripts, explain psychological manipulation techniques, identify warning signs, and provide guidance on how to respond when faced with similar situations.
The interactive space will also showcase AI-generated videos, including examples of deepfake technology.
Organizers hope that these realistic demonstrations will strengthen public awareness of the risks posed by increasingly sophisticated digital deception.
“The experiences are expected to help people better understand the risks of having their personal images misused or being misled by fabricated content circulating on social media," he added.

Tech fest flooded with extensive promotions
During the meeting, representatives from banks and fintech companies said they would introduce an array of cashless payment solutions, including QR code payments, near-field communication (NFC) technology, facial recognition systems, electronic identity verification, and AI-integrated green finance models.
Apart from showcasing new technologies, participating exhibitors will host a variety of activities, including interactive games, tech-themed mini games, lucky draws, voucher giveaways, and exclusive payment incentives for visitors.
Speaking at the meeting, Tran Xuan Toan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre and head of the organizing board for the Digital Finance Day 2026, said the event is designed not only as a platform to introduce digital financial services and payment solutions, but also as an opportunity for firms to connect directly with consumers.
“This is a chance for each company to create its own identity and strengthen brand recognition through direct engagement with the public,” Toan said.
He encouraged participating firms to create more interactive product experiences for customers.
Exhibition booths should allow visitors to test services firsthand and engage in meaningful interactions with providers.
Toan also highlighted the importance of developing initiatives for international visitors, including payment incentives for tourists, as well as programs that help merchants adopt digital payment solutions.
The organizing board also revealed plans to hold more activities in the evenings and at weekends to attract younger users, a demographic considered highly active in digital finance and quick to adopt emerging technologies.
With its expanded scale, the Digital Finance Day 2026 is expected to feature dozens of experiential zones operated by banks, e-wallet providers, and fintech companies.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore modern payment technologies and interact with digital financial services in realistic, hands-on environments.
As part of the Digital Finance Day 2026 program, a seminar titled ‘Smart Payments in the Digital Era’ will also be held to facilitate dialogue among regulators, experts, financial institutions, tech companies, and the business community on the future of smart payment systems and solutions for building a secure, integrated, and sustainable digital finance ecosystem.
