Border guards and local fishermen worked together to return the marine mammal to the open sea.
At 9:00 am, border guards from the Tien Sa Port Border Guard Station, while on duty, spotted the large dolphin drifting close to shore.
The animal appeared fatigued and had multiple abrasions on its body.
Responding swiftly, the border guards approached the animal to stabilize it.
With the help of nearby fishermen, they used a small boat to transport the animal to deeper waters.
At around 10:00 am, the dolphin regained enough strength to swim on its own and was released safely into a secure offshore area.

Major Tran The Dung, an inspection officer at the station who directly participated in the rescue, confirmed that the dolphin was clearly exhausted and bore several scratches.
Only after the dolphin began swimming strongly on its own did the rescue team feel confident enough to return to shore.
This was the first stranding of a dolphin at Tien Sa Port.
Preliminary assessments suggested the animal may have become entangled in fishing nets, weakening it before waves pushed it toward shore.
