On Tuesday evening, the team operated through worsening weather to locate vehicles stuck along the mountain pass and airlift supplies using drones.
"Landslides are everywhere, and it's impossible to walk across the blocked sections," said Dien, a member of the Lo Xo SOS team.
"Drivers and passengers are running out of food and water, so we had to find a new way, and drones became our lifeline."

Drivers trapped on the pass have been sending their GPS locations to the team's Facebook page so volunteers can deliver packages accurately.
"Thank you so much for the help. At times like this, every bit means everything," one driver wrote online.
The effort has inspired widespread support. Tam, a 63-year-old resident of Quang Ngai, cooked 300 boxed meals and sent them to the pass to assist the stranded travelers.
The owner of Truc Binh restaurant also donated 50 meals after hearing about the drone operation.

Despite the heavy rain, darkness, and risk of further landslides, volunteers continued flying drones late into the night to ensure everyone received food.
Images shared by the Lo Xo SOS team show drones carrying boxes over flooded roads and blocked slopes to reach isolated drivers.
The humanitarian effort has moved many people across Vietnam, who have sent messages of gratitude and hope that the rain and landslides will soon subside.
