According to Lieutenant Colonel Vo Quang Tien, deputy chief of Con Tien Commune’s police agency, at around 6:00 pm on Monday, local residents returning from the forest discovered the two stranded foreigners in Khe Me Hamlet, about seven kilometers from the nearest house at the forest edge, and reported it to authorities.
The tourists had been riding large-displacement motorcycles southward from Hanoi when they mistakenly turned onto a forest trail.

Heavy rain and darkness caused one of the bikes to slide into a ravine, leaving both travelers stuck.
Fortunately, they were unharmed.
A rescue team of about 10 people, including commune police and local residents, set out immediately.
Due to the rugged terrain and muddy conditions, they had to use a farm tractor to navigate through the forest.

After more than three hours, the team successfully reached and brought the two tourists and their motorcycles back to safety at around 9:30 pm.
The travelers expressed deep gratitude, taking photos with the rescuers and writing a thank-you letter to the commune police.
They said they had started their motorbike trip from Hanoi, heading south to explore Vietnam, before getting lost in the forest.
After the rescue, they went to Cam Lo Commune to rest and repair their motorcycles.
