Honda is expected to introduce a new motorcycle model in Vietnam in January, but the company has yet to release any specific details.
Based on Honda’s current line-up of electric scooters being developed and sold across Asia, the Activa e: stands out as one of the most likely models to be launched locally.
The Honda Activa e: shares several similarities with the CUV e:, which is currently offered in Vietnam under a leasing scheme.
Notably, both models feature a removable battery system.
However, the Activa e: is expected to be positioned at a more accessible price point.
In India, the Activa e: is priced at the equivalent of around VND35 million (US$1,334), suggesting it could become a suitable option to bridge the gap between the ICON e: and the higher-end CUV e: in Honda’s electric line-up.
In terms of design, the Activa e: remains faithful to the styling cues that have made the Activa name popular.
The front end features LED daytime running lights positioned high on the handlebar area, while the main LED headlamp is mounted lower.
The overall silhouette, along with the flat floorboard, recalls the Honda Lead, complemented by a one-piece seat and a rear grab handle that emphasize familiarity and ease of use.
The scooter rides on 12-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and features a full-width LED taillight.
Rounded body panels contribute to a solid yet modern appearance.
The Honda Activa e: is equipped with a seven-inch full-color TFT display, offering day and night display modes and providing comprehensive riding and battery information, similar to the CUV e:.
The screen is controlled via switchgear on the handlebars, and a USB charging port is included for mobile devices.

The scooter comes with a smart key system that supports functions such as vehicle locating and remote locking and unlocking.
In higher-spec versions, the Activa e: also supports the Honda RoadSync Duo application, enabling smartphone connectivity, real-time vehicle monitoring, and location tracking.
The most notable highlight of the Honda Activa e: is its removable battery solution.
The scooter is powered by two batteries, each with a capacity of 1.5 kWh, delivering a maximum riding range of some 102 kilometers on a full charge.
Users can recharge the batteries at home or opt for quick battery swapping at designated stations.
Like the CUV e:, this configuration does limit under-seat storage space.

The Activa e: is driven by an electric motor producing a maximum output of six kW and 22 Nm of torque.
It accelerates from 0 to 60 kph in about 7.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 80 kph.
Three riding modes are available: Econ, Standard, and Sport.
Notably, the Activa e: is also equipped with a low-speed electronic reverse function, assisting riders when maneuvering or turning the scooter in tight spaces – another feature shared with the CUV e:.
