News that Tesla has officially established a company in Vietnam has attracted attention on several automotive forums.
Many believe the establishment of a local legal entity could be a step toward Tesla entering the Vietnamese market and officially distributing its vehicles in the country.
However, Tesla has not announced any specific plans for business operations in Vietnam.
Business registration information from the Ho Chi Minh City Business Registration Office shows that Tesla Motors Vietnam Limited Liability Company was established on September 12.
The company's headquarters are located at Me Linh Point Tower in Sai Gon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
Tesla Motors Vietnam’s business registration documents show that Nguyen Manh Hung serves as assistant general director and is one of the company's legal representatives.
The other two legal representatives are Isabel Ching Fan, an American national who serves as general director, and David Jon Feinstein, also an American national, who serves as chairman.
Information about David Jon Feinstein, chairman of Tesla Motors Vietnam, matches that of David Jon Feinstein, who was previously identified as one of the first directors of Tesla's legal entity in India.
At Tesla, Feinstein serves as senior director for market access and global trade.

Tesla Motors Vietnam is registered to operate in a range of sectors, mainly related to automobiles and trading activities.
Its primary business is the wholesale of automobiles and other motor vehicles.
The company is also registered to exercise export, import and wholesale distribution rights for goods in accordance with Vietnamese law and international treaties to which Vietnam is a party.
Tesla Motors Vietnam is also registered to wholesale automobile parts and accessories, machinery, equipment and other machinery parts, as well as a number of specialized and general wholesale activities.
Tesla is an electric vehicle and energy company founded by U.S. billionaire Elon Musk in 2003 and headquartered in Austin, Texas.
Its business focuses on electric vehicles, energy generation and storage products, and solar energy solutions.
