Vietnam rolls out first EV71 vaccine against HFMD

Vietnam has begun administering an EV71 vaccine against hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) to children for the first time, with Vietnam Vaccine Joint Stock Company (VNVC) and Switzerland-based Substipharm Biologics launching the vaccination program at nearly 300 centers nationwide on Friday, according to VNVC.
