Two people were killed and four others were wounded after a wartime bomb sawed by a group of mechanics at a car repair shop in Vietnam exploded on Sunday afternoon.
The People’s Committee of Quynh Luu District in Nghe An Province on Sunday evening reported that the explosion occurred at the Le Hien auto repair shop in Quynh Tan Commune.
L.T.H., the owner of the shop, and N.D.N., a 30-year-old mechanic, were killed in the explosion.
A leader of the People’s Committee of Quynh Tan Commune had earlier confirmed the explosion.
In particular, a scrap vendor brought the wartime bomb to the auto repair shop in the north-central province and the mechanics there sawed the bomb, causing the blast

Some residents living near the auto repair shop, after hearing a loud blast at about 4:00 pm on Sunday, rushed to the shop and saw a dead man and five injured people, including three children.
The children were cycling nearby when some pieces of the bomb hit them.
Local residents immediately took the injured to a nearby hospital. However, one more person died at the hospital.
At the 100-square-meter car repair shop, many tools were broken and the floor was filled with many blood stains.
The Quynh Luu District Police and People’s Procuracy are carrying out a further investigation into the incident.
