Vietnam’s Vingroup offers gas-to-EV trade-in incentives while GSM cuts ride fares
Economy 14:19 11/03/2026Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup, owned by Vietnam’s richest man Pham Nhat Vuong, on Tuesday night announced an urgent promotion initiative aimed at encouraging consumers to shift from gasoline vehicles to electric alternatives, while Green and Smart Mobility JSC (GSM), a taxi and electric vehicle rental company, also started to offer a 10-percent fare reduction for its electric vehicle ride-hailing services.
