Finland Outlook 2026 to highlight study, work, residency opportunities

Finland Outlook 2026, a major education and career event scheduled for this weekend in Ho Chi Minh City, will offer students and young professionals updated information on studying, working, and living in Finland, with representatives from Tampere and top Finnish vocational and applied sciences institutions attending.

With the theme 'Where Education meets Opportunities,' the event will take place on Sunday at Novotel Saigon Centre at 167 Hai Ba Trung Street in Xuan Hoa Ward, offering free access to consultations, presentations, and interactive activities.

Organized by RAB Academy, a Ho Chi Minh City-based company providing study-abroad solutions and courses for Vietnamese of all ages, in coordination with the city of Tampere and leading Finnish universities and colleges, the program aims to support Vietnamese learners seeking sustainable future pathways.

Attendees will have the chance to meet one-on-one with Finnish educators, administrators, and industry representatives across sectors facing high labor demand.

Expected guests include Virpi Heinonen, director of international cooperation, and Johanna Ojamaki, education manager and lecturer in services and business, both from Tampere Vocational College TREDU.

Other guests are Sami Puttonen from Business Tampere, the economic development agency for the Tampere region; Kaisa-Leena Satamo, lecturer in practical nursing at Tampere Adult Education Center TAKK; and Sakari Savolainen, lecturer in culinary services at Tampere Adult Education Center TAKK.

Participants will also receive updates on the Finnish study landscape and the 2026 admissions cycle.

Key discussions include Finland’s future immigration and education policies, the Vietnamese student community in Tampere, and emerging destinations beyond Tampere for study and work.

The program features immersive activities such as VR tours of Finland, photo opportunities with iconic Finnish landscapes, and giveaways for visitors.

Finland, home to about 5.7 million people, consistently ranks among the world’s top performers in education according to the World Economic Forum.

Despite limited natural resources, the country has long prioritized human capital development.

It is also known as the birthplace of SMS pioneer Matti Makonen and global gaming hit Angry Birds.
