Under the theme ‘The Art of Creativity,’ the event drew more than 10,000 spectators to the grandstand and hundreds of thousands more to the riverside.
Locals and visitors were treated to astounding pyrotechnic spectacles.
Making its debut at DIFF, Z121 Vina Pyrotech Vietnam, also known as 21 Chemical One Member Limited Liability Company under the Vietnam Defense Industry, brought a fresh and powerful presence to the festival.
The team’s performance, titled ‘Aspiration to Rise,’ was an elaborate five-part display tracing the historical and cultural journey of Da Nang, from its vibrant past to a dynamic, modern city with eyes on the future.
The show opened with high-energy bursts of multicolored fireworks that danced to lively beats, symbolizing a youthful, thriving Da Nang.
This was followed by scenes of golden-hued, slow-blooming fireworks that evoked nostalgia, reminiscent of the city’s maritime trading days in the 17th century.

A stirring highlight came when popular revolutionary song 'Nhu co Bac Ho trong ngay vui dai thang' (As If Uncle Ho Were Present on the Joyous Day of Great Victory) played, as brilliant fireworks lit up the sky in a dazzling crescendo.
The audience erupted into applause and joined in the song, creating an unforgettable moment of unity and pride.

Meanwhile, the team from Poland, the champion of DIFF 2023, lived up to its reputation with a poetic show titled ‘Dragon Love.’
Inspired by Da Nang City’s iconic Dragon Bridge, the Polish team wove a mythical tale using cool-toned fireworks and epic orchestral music.
Utilizing spiraling effects, sweeping comet trails, and synchronized multi-point launches, the Polish display transported viewers into a dreamlike journey.
A pivotal moment came during the track ‘God of Lightning,’ when fireworks exploded from various angles to create a radiant arc.
Every beat and rhythm was tightly synced with fireworks movement, making the pyrotechnics seem to dance in harmony with the soundtrack, wowing the spectators.

Z121’s participation marked a milestone for Vietnam’s homegrown pyrotechnic industry.
With over 50 years of experience in manufacturing and performing fireworks at major national events, this was the first time the company had officially competed at DIFF, and its debut drew widespread public and tourist attention.
DIFF 2025 is set to continue with its third competition night on June 14 under the theme ‘The Path of Unity,’ featuring teams from Canada and China.
Portugal and the UK will compete on June 21, followed by South Korea and Italy on June 28.
The grand finale will be broadcast live on VTV1 on July 12.
