The municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the flight was the first charter service connecting Moscow directly with the coastal central city.
The route is being operated by Anex Tour Vietnam in cooperation with Vietjet Air.
Upon arrival at Da Nang International Airport, passengers received a warm welcome, souvenir gifts and traditional Vietnamese conical hats, and enjoyed performances of traditional Vietnamese music.
A representative from Anex Tour Vietnam said the expansion of charter flight operations in 2026 is expected to promote the recovery of tourist arrivals from Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, while creating new momentum for tourism growth in central Vietnam, particularly in Da Nang.

The launch of the air route follows a series of promotional campaigns targeting Russia and CIS countries, including the city’s participation in the MITT Moscow 2026, one of the largest tourism fairs in Russia and Eastern Europe.
Visitor numbers from the region have surged sharply over the past few months.
In the first four months of 2026, Da Nang welcomed more than 142,000 visitors from Russia and CIS countries, accounting for some 3.7 percent of the city’s total international arrivals.
The figure represented an increase of over 20 percent compared with the same period in 2025.
Anex Tour Vietnam also announced that the company would be operating a charter flight network connecting 20 cities across Russia, CIS countries, and Belarus with Vietnamese destinations including Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, and Phan Rang from April 1 to October 31 this year.
The network is expected to bring more than 250,000 international visitors to Vietnam during the operating period.
