Sixty mobile police officers, equipped with specialized vehicles and rescue gear, were deployed to assist local authorities in moving elderly residents, children, and household assets out of danger.

The coordinated effort came as floodwaters rose quickly, cutting off roads and inundating multiple homes across parts of the mountainous province.

The heaviest flooding occurred in Lao Cai Ward, where low-lying areas were overwhelmed by water flowing downstream.

Police worked alongside local officials to relocate stranded residents, move furniture and valuables, and tow vehicles to safer ground.

Despite heavy rain, officers remained on duty to help families stabilize their homes and begin recovery efforts.
