Food enthusiasts throng river festival in Ho Chi Minh City
The cuisine event offers visitors a taste of typical dishes, cakes, fruits, and products of many locales from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm daily from Friday to Sunday this week
Foodies packed Le Loi Boulevard in downtown Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday evening to explore a wide array of delicious dishes as part of the city’s second River Festival held between May 31 and June 9.
Featuring 24 booths, the cuisine event offers visitors a taste of typical dishes, cakes, fruits, and products of many locales from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm daily from Friday to Sunday this week.
As the second day of the culinary event fell on a weekend, it drew huge crowds including both international visitors and the locals.
Minh Diem, residing in Phu Nhuan District, joined her friend to explore the food space where she sampled a variety of tasty dishes and experienced the festive vibe of the place.
Tran Quang Khai, the owner of a food stall offering Vietnamese rice pancakes, revealed that he sold around 450 pancakes on Friday and more than 650 on Saturday.
Khai praised the event organizer for the better set-up and compliance with food safety rules than the previous events.
