A teenager from Hue City in Thua Thien-Hue Province, central Vietnam died after a football goal fell on him as he was playing at a local football field on Wednesday afternoon.
The victim, a 17-year-old boy whose identity is unknown at the time of writing, tripped on the net of the goal, causing the iron structure to fall down and its crossbar to hit him in the back of the head, according to witnesses.
The boy immediately lost consciousness.
He was rushed to a local medical center but was later pronounced dead.
