Doctors at City Children’s Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City have diagnosed a 12-year-old girl with fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP), commonly referred to as stone man syndrome, an extremely rare genetic disorder affecting approximately one in two million people worldwide.
