Foreign man damages car, causing chaos in Da Nang

The man was reportedly in a state of mental instability and unable to control his behavior at the time of the incident.

On Sunday, a video of the incident spread rapidly across social media platforms in Vietnam.

The video showed a shirtless foreign man wearing shorts suddenly running into the street and climbing onto the roof of a car parked along Hoang Ke Viem Street in An Thuong, a popular tourist area in Ngu Hanh Son Ward, Da Nang.

In full view of pedestrians and nearby residents, the man repeatedly stomped and struck the vehicle, even lying on top of it.

Before leaving the scene, he also broke the rear windshield wiper of the car.

According to local authorities, the incident occurred on Saturday.

Local police launched an investigation immediately after receiving reports about the disturbance.
