The event is being held through February 10 at Bien Dong Park and is organized by the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches Management Board.
Organizers said the program aims to diversify cultural, recreational, and shopping activities for residents and tourists during the holiday period.

A highlight of the event is a fishing village Tet space built with bamboo and rustic materials to recreate coastal Lunar New Year traditions, where visitors can learn about Vietnamese customs, wrap ‘banh tet,’ make traditional candied fruits and sample local dishes.
Traditional folk games such as bamboo dancing, clay pot smashing and ‘bai choi’ folk singing have also drawn large crowds of residents and tourists.
Alongside festive activities, the organizers distributed gifts to sanitation workers, lifeguards, security personnel, and disadvantaged coastal residents.

Nguyen Duc Vu, head of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches Management Board, said the program aims to strengthen connections between locals and visitors through traditional Tet activities while promoting Da Nang's beach tourism linked to fishing village life.
The city has also increased beach safety measures during the holiday, including additional lifeguard staffing, safety buoys in designated swimming areas, and warning signs in zones with strong currents or rough weather.
