Since launching in 2022 across multiple markets in Asia including Vietnam, Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Japan, Garmin Run has continued expanding as a regional race series that connects runners through performance, training, and community.
In 2026, the series marks its biggest expansion yet with the addition of race destinations in the United States, bringing the Garmin Run experience to an even broader global running community.
Following the success of the 2025 season, which welcomed nearly 6,000 participants, Garmin Run Vietnam 2026 will return on October 17-18 at Sala Urban Area in Ho Chi Minh City and is expected to welcome more than 8,500 runners across multiple race categories and experience levels, from first-time participants to performance-focused athletes.
This year's event will continue to feature race categories tailored to different running goals and lifestyles.
The 5km category is designed for those starting their running journey and aiming to complete their first race.
The Couple Run categories, available in both 5km and 10km distances, are created for couples, friends, and teammates to share the race-day experience together.
The new 5km Couple Run option provides a more approachable choice for casual runners and beginners.
Meanwhile, the 10km race is built for runners looking to improve endurance, fitness, and personal performance.
For those seeking a greater test of discipline and resilience, the 21km category offers an opportunity to pursue new personal milestones.
"Garmin Run Marathon Series 2026 reflects the continued growth of the running community and the increasing importance of health and wellness in everyday life," said Ivan Lai, country manager, Garmin Vietnam.
"Today, healthy living is not only about longevity, but also about maintaining physical well-being, mental strength, and an active lifestyle over time.
"Through Garmin Run, we hope to inspire more people to begin their own fitness journey, stay motivated through the power of community, and continue achieving new milestones with confidence."

Built for the running community
Garmin Run Vietnam 2026 will once again take place at Sala, one of Ho Chi Minh City's most popular running destinations thanks to its open roads, flat terrain, and runner-friendly course design.
The course is designed to help runners maintain pace, pursue personal bests, and enjoy a smoother race-day experience.
In addition to race activities, Garmin Run Vietnam 2026 will continue building a community-driven event atmosphere where participants can connect with fellow runners, explore Garmin's latest smartwatch ecosystem, and experience a variety of interactive activities throughout the race weekend.
This year's event will feature upgraded race kits, medals, prizes, and Garmin experience zones, along with opportunities to meet Garmin Elite athletes, sports personalities, and members of Vietnam's growing running community.
Participants can also enjoy personalized event activities including laser medal engraving, custom tote bag and shirt printing, on-site BIB result checking, recovery and chill zones with DJs, and meetups with popular social running clubs.
Technology giveaways and race prizes will continue to be part of the overall race experience across all categories.
Ahead of the race weekend, Garmin Run Club (GRC) will continue organizing its 'Road To Garmin' training series in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Led by professional coaches and structured training programs, these sessions are designed to help participants better prepare physically and mentally for race day.
