Gas explosion kills 2, injures 1 in Ho Chi Minh City

The incident occurred around 10:15 am at a house in Alley 4 of Street 182 in Tang Nhon Phu A Ward.

Residents reported hearing a loud explosion before spotting flames engulfing the home.

Despite initial efforts to extinguish the fire, locals were unable to contain it and immediately alerted local authorities and the city’s fire and rescue force.

Firefighters later brought the blaze under control.

At the scene, one victim was found with severe injuries and died after being rushed to a local hospital.

Another victim was discovered deceased inside the home, severely burned.

A third individual, a man, suffered serious burns and was taken to Cho Ray Hospital in critical condition.

The city’s police and local authorities have sealed off the area and launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fatal explosion.

Preliminary findings indicated that the fire was caused by a leaking gas cylinder that ignited upon contact with a heat source.

The identities of the deceased have not yet been released.
