A graphic exhibit of large-format colored prints by German artist Benjamin Badock- one of Germany’s seminal graphic artists- is running in Hanoi until November 2.

The exhibit, “That’s new – What’s next,” is taking place at the Goethe Institut, 56- 58 Nguyen Thai Hoc.

On display are Badock’s large-format colored prints on newsprint that emerge via a long and almost paint-like process of folds and partial contact with the unprocessed printing plate.

His works are crafted in a way that is similar to a child’s construction kit.

Badock was recently awarded the Sprengel Prize for Visual Arts 2014 by the Lower Saxony Sparkassen Foundation.

The artist will also take home the prestigious Sprengel award in Germany for his artistic oeuvre in December 2014.
