Early this week, Tuoi Tre (Youth) Newspaper reporters observed crowds of travelers flocking to Ta Pa Lake and nearby regions in Tri Ton.
With the harvest season approaching, the rice paddies stretching at the foot of Phung Hoang Son (Phoenix Mountain) glowed in rich golden hues, creating picture-perfect landscapes that left a lasting impression on Tran Thi Bich Trang, a tourist from Can Tho City.
Meanwhile, Ta Pa Lake offered a tranquil escape, with its emerald-green waters set against a backdrop of majestic mountains.
“Ta Pa Lake gave me a real sense of peace,” Trang said. “The locals are so friendly, and the food here is delicious.”

Tran Van Cuong, chairman of the Tri Ton Commune People’s Committee, proudly shared that the area is home to several popular attractions, including Soai So Lake, Ta Pa Lake, Ta Pa Mountain Pagoda, Soai Chek Lake, and Hang Cong Pagoda.
These scenic spots are especially favored by young tourists looking to capture memorable photos with family and friends.

In the first half of 2025, the locality estimated nearly 600,000 tourist visits.
Authorities are planning to work with relevant partners to develop new offerings such as paragliding at Phung Hoang Son and traditional bull racing events that reflect the rich culture of the local communities.

Nguyen Thanh Quoc, deputy director of An Giang Province’s Department of Tourism, said the province boasts a diverse tourism landscape, from sacred mountains to coastal areas.
The Bay Nui (Seven Mountains) region, in particular, is home to several popular destinations, including Ta Pa Lake, Phung Hoang Son, Ba Chua Xu Temple on Sam Mountain, Bung Binh Thien freshwater lake, and the Long Xuyen floating market.
“We’re organizing survey trips and working closely with tour operators and businesses to gather feedback and develop more attractive itineraries that will encourage more visitors,” Quoc said.
