On Wednesday, GS25 Vietnam issued an official announcement on its Facebook account acknowledging a customer’s complaint of hygiene issues at one of its convenience stores.
The company said it was also inspecting all of its stores to ensure compliance with operating and service standards.
A day earlier, GS25 Vietnam announced on Facebook that it had temporarily closed its Duy Tan store at 4-6 Lane 36 Duy Tan, Cau Giay Ward, Hanoi, effective June 29, to inspect the store facility and review its operating procedures.
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Our top priority is to maintain operating standards, service quality, and customer satisfaction,” the company said.
Recently, a video allegedly showing a mouse in the food preparation area of a store resembling a GS25 outlet has circulated on Threads and Facebook.

One Threads post mentioned the store as a GS25 outlet, although the post was no longer available when your correspondent searched for relevant keywords.
However, GS25 has not confirmed whether the circulating social media posts were related to the temporary closure of its Duy Tan store.
The chain is currently celebrating its eighth anniversary in Vietnam, according to its website.
GS25 opened its first store in Ho Chi Minh City in 2018 through a joint venture between GS Retail Korea and Vietnam’s Son Kim Group, with GS Retail Vietnam Co., Ltd as the chain’s legal entity.
