Around 11:00 pm, Nguyen Thi Tam, a long-time member of the airport's cart services team, discovered a small black bag on an unattended luggage cart in the terminal's public area.
She immediately notified nearby airport security officers.
Inside the bag were 100 banknotes, each worth 50,000 won.
Shortly afterward, Kim Hyuna, a South Korean passenger checking in for her flight, realized the cash was missing from her handbag and began searching the terminal in distress.
Airport staff quickly directed her to the security office, where she met Tam and mobile security officer Nguyen Dinh Hoang.
Following standard procedures, the cash was returned to her in full.

Kim expressed deep gratitude to the airport staff and was able to complete check-in in time for her flight home.
Tam has worked at Noi Bai since 2003 and has returned lost items before, though she said this was one of the most valuable.
"The money was left on a cart in a quiet area," she said.
"I just thought if I were the one who lost it, I'd be devastated.
"I'm glad it got back to the right person."
