The administration in Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi will ban vehicles from entering the streets surrounding Hoan Kiem Lake for nearly four days to make room for entertainment activities for locals and tourists in the area during the National Day (September 2) holiday.
The vehicle ban is scheduled to start from 7:00 am on September 1 and last until 12:00 pm on September 4, coinciding with public workers’ four consecutive days off in celebration of Vietnam’s National Day.
In the Hanoi Old Quarter, the pedestrian zone will be in operation from 7:00 pm to midnight, spanning from September 1 to 4.
The People’s Committee of Hoan Kiem District mandates the maintenance of urban security, traffic regulation and safety, environmental cleanliness, urban aesthetics, compliance with disease prevention, fire and explosion prevention regulations, and the safety of residents and visitors to Hoan Kiem Lake, a popular destination in the Vietnamese capital city, during the holiday.
