The ward administration on Thursday said a joint inspection team had visited the bun rieu stall owned by N.T.H., 63, after images and comments about poor sanitation were shared on Xiaohongshu, a Chinese social media platform.
Inspectors found several violations of food safety regulations including uncovered food, insects in the preparation area, and staff working without gloves or masks.

The eatery was fined VND4.5 million (US$171) and ordered to cease operations until it meets hygiene standards.
The owner pledged to comply with the decision and not to reopen until conditions are improved.
The tourist’s post noted that while Vietnamese street food is affordable and tasty, some eateries appeared unhygienic, with the bun rieu stall among those highlighted.
The restaurant, tucked into a small alley in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, has been a familiar spot for many local diners over the years.
