From August 15 to 22, the city recorded 145 dengue fever cases, up 26 from the previous week, according to CDC Hanoi.
It also reported 64 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease and eight cases of measles.
No cases of pertussis, streptococcus suis infection, meningococcal disease or Japanese encephalitis were reported during the same period.
CDC Hanoi warned that the number of infections may rise in late August and early September due to increased travel and large gatherings linked to National Day celebrations.
In response, local agencies have been directed to strengthen outbreak surveillance, conduct early detection and containment, and carry out mosquito control measures, including larvicide campaigns and spraying in high-risk areas.
Efforts also include integrating Chikungunya prevention with dengue control programs, particularly in areas with reported or suspected outbreaks.
Authorities continue to monitor mosquito and larval indices, while veterinary services are coordinating to prevent zoonotic transmission.
Public health messaging is being expanded to inform residents about symptoms and prevention of diseases such as dengue fever, Chikungunya, hand, foot and mouth disease, and measles.
