Deputy chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen signed the decision on Saturday, following proposals from the city's Department of Finance and the Department of Construction.

The fare exemption will apply to all subsidized bus services and the Hanoi metro system.

The Department of Construction has been tasked with coordinating the implementation, in cooperation with the city's Public Transport Management and Operation Center, bus operators, and Hanoi Railway Company.

Authorities have requested relevant agencies to monitor passenger volumes and adjust service frequency and schedules as needed to meet potential increases in demand.

Safety and service effectiveness are to be prioritized.

The city also ordered accurate tracking of the number of free tickets issued to ensure proper financial reconciliation under subsidy regulations.

During the holiday, Hanoi will organize fireworks displays at five locations, with a total of six launch sites.

Two high- and low-altitude fireworks shows will take place near the Ha Noi Moi newspaper headquarters and Hanoi Post Office in Hoan Kiem Ward.

Four additional shows will be held at Thong Nhat Park in Hai Ba Trung Ward, the National Sports Complex in Tu Liem Ward, Lac Long Quan Flower Garden in Tay Ho Ward, and Van Quan Lake in Ha Dong Ward.
