The brand will continue operating three other outlets around Hoan Kiem Lake.
Trang Tien Ice Cream did not disclose the reason for the closure, but directed customers to stores at 18 Hang Bai Street in Cua Nam Ward, 44 Trang Tien Street in Hoan Kiem Ward, and 18 Ngo Quyen Street in Cua Nam Ward.
Two of the three outlets opened this year. A large store on Trang Tien Street opened on April 4, followed by another at 18 Hang Bai Street on August 8, just a few hundred meters from the longtime flagship.
Trang Tien Ice Cream is operated by Trang Tien Ice Cream Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of Hanoi-listed One Capital Hospitality Joint Stock Company, or OCH.
Despite the closure of its best-known outlet, the brand has continued expanding its retail network.
According to OCH’s 2025 annual report, Trang Tien Ice Cream had 410 stores and sales points nationwide, including traditional outlets, agents, and franchise locations.
In 2025, the company also opened an official outlet at 18 Ngo Quyen Street and introduced a franchise model combining traditional ice cream products with modern beverages.
Founded in 1958, Trang Tien Ice Cream is one of Hanoi’s best-known ice cream brands. In 2020, it revamped its logo and packaging for the first time in more than 60 years.

Parent company targets $13.9 million in 2026 profit
Besides ice cream and confectionery, OCH also operates hotels and resort real estate projects.
The company reported revenue of VND1.156 trillion (US$44 million) in 2025, with pre-tax profit of VND132.2 billion ($5.04 million) and after-tax profit of VND97.5 billion ($3.71 million).
For 2026, its management plans to propose to shareholders consolidated targets of VND1.704 trillion ($64.9 million) in revenue and VND365 billion ($13.9 million) in after-tax profit.
As of June 30, 2026, OCH had accumulated losses of VND383 billion ($14.6 million) against charter capital of VND2 trillion ($76.2 million), according to its consolidated financial statements for the second quarter.
OCH said the food and beverage market is undergoing an increasingly intense shakeout, with rising logistics and raw material costs putting direct pressure on profit margins.
