The performance, Classonic in Concert 2: To The Line, took place at the Military Theater and included nearly 80 musicians from the Concert of Childhood Memory orchestra, the Classonic band, and a choir.
The program featured 20 of Zimmer's compositions, including scores from Dune, Interstellar, Inception, The Dark Knight, Wonder Woman, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Seats were fully occupied, with audiences including local youth and expatriates living in Vietnam, organizers said.

The concert opened with Zimmer's score from Wonder Woman, followed by Paul's Dream from Dune.
Organizers highlighted Zimmer's approach to Dune, which blends electronic, traditional, and experimental instruments to create new soundscapes, and features vocalizations in an invented 'alien' language, performed in the concert by soloist Thanh Tu.
Other works included Like a Dog Chasing Cars from The Dark Knight, which reflects tension and chaos, and Time from Inception, noted for its combination of piano, cello, and orchestral strings.

Zimmer's Interstellar score was performed, characterized by Gothic tones and reflective passages.
The program concluded with the Pirates of the Caribbean theme.

La Tuan Cuong, the event's chief organizer, said the positive audience response in Ho Chi Minh City followed successful performances in Hanoi, and described the project as "an opportunity to offer a vivid cinematic music experience that combines music, imagery, and emotion."
Classonic in Concert 2 will continue with performances on Saturday and Sunday.
