Vietnam performs 1st successful implantation of compact mechanical heart pump

A 63-year-old man has become the first patient in Vietnam to receive a CorHeart 6 mechanical circulatory support device, a 90-gram heart pump that supports blood circulation in patients with severe heart failure and is compact enough to fit smaller chests.
