It has been sizzling hot in southern Vietnam over the weekend, with the local weather service forecasting rain in the last two weeks of March.
On Saturday, it was hot across the southern region, temperatures hovering around 35-36 degrees Celsius, according to the Southern Regional Hydrometeorological Center.
Bien Hoa, which is the capital of Dong Nai Province, recorded a high of 37.1 degrees Celsius.
The temperature fluctuates between 35 and 36 degrees Celsius in the southeastern region on Sunday.
It is around 36 degrees Celsius in Bien Hoa and Dong Phu, a district in Binh Phuoc Province.
Ba Ria-Vung Tau, a coastal province, and the Mekong Delta log 31-34 degrees Celsius.
It is the hottest around noon and late afternoons, with the Southern Regional Hydrometeorological Center expecting the heatwave to lessen in the next one to two days.
Rain is in the forecast in the southern region for the latter half of March.
