Hours-long downpours caused water at the Dak Ak low-water crossing to rise rapidly, creating dangerous currents that prevented residents from crossing.
The crossing is located along the only route connecting provincial road DH85 with Dak On and Long Yen hamlets, home to 283 households which have been temporarily cut off by floodwaters.
Local authorities then stationed personnel at both ends of the crossing to block traffic and ensure safety.

Police issued warnings urging residents not to travel through the flooded low-water crossing by foot, motorbike, or car.
Residents should choose alternative routes and avoid traveling until water levels recede.
Families were told to keep children and the elderly away from dangerous currents and report emergencies immediately.
