Trung Nu Vuong Street, where a drainage project is progressing slowly, was also submerged, especially around construction barriers, raising safety concerns.

In mountainous communes such as Tra My and Tra Linh, heavy rains over the past two days caused localized flooding and landslides.

The Central Region Hydro-Meteorological Station reported rainfall totals between 3:00 am and 9:00 am on Thursday reaching 142 mm in Tam Tra, 117 mm in Tra Kot, and 96 mm in Tien Ha.

The regional weather agency warned of flash floods in small rivers and streams, landslides on slopes, and subsidence in highland areas.

From Thursday to Friday, river levels in Da Nang are expected to rise to around alarm level 1, posing risks of inundation in low-lying urban areas.
