Inundation was reported in Nha Trang, Bac Nha Trang, and Tay Nha Trang Wards, particularly along Pham Van Dong and 23/10 Streets.

The rain began at around 4:00 pm and intensified through the evening, coinciding with the rush hour and leaving vehicles stranded in long queues.

Residents said Pham Van Dong Street is often waterlogged after intense rainfall, forcing drivers to ride onto sidewalks to navigate the waters.

"Sometimes it causes hours-long traffic jams," said Ha An, a local resident who frequently travels on the seaside street.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the coastal province received rainfall of 50-70 millimeters on Monday afternoon.

The national weather agency also warned of potential flash floods in small rivers and streams, along with landslides on slopes.
