The images were shown from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm (local time) in central Seoul, including Gangnam District and the Myeongdong shopping area, to commemorate the July 2, 1976 renaming of Saigon-Gia Dinh to Ho Chi Minh City.
The campaign was carried out through cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and its international partner cities under the city's external communications plan through 2030.

The display was intended to promote Ho Chi Minh City's image as a dynamic, modern, and culturally distinctive metropolis to South Korean residents and international visitors, while strengthening cooperation between the city and South Korean localities.
South Korea is one of Ho Chi Minh City's leading economic, investment, and tourism partners.
Ho Chi Minh City has established cooperative and sister-city ties with several South Korean localities, including Seoul, across areas such as trade, culture, education, and people-to-people exchanges.
