The 6.45-hectare Phu Tho Racetrack Park will include outdoor sports areas, playgrounds, green spaces, gardens, walking paths, and supporting facilities such as public restrooms, parking, and service buildings.

A multi-use square in front of the grandstand will cover more than 5,000 square meters.

The park’s design is inspired by a diamond shape, with 3.6 hectares of greenery, 0.8 hectares of water features, and 1.2 hectares of internal roads and paved areas.

It will also feature architectural and landscape elements such as a glass prism bridge, walking bridges around ponds, lighting installations, and free Wi-Fi access.

The project, funded with nearly VND100 billion (US$3.8 million) from the city budget, is scheduled for completion in 2026.

“The project is meant to create a green public space for recreation, physical exercise, and youth activities while enhancing urban greenery and the local microclimate,” said Tran Anh Tuan, director of the District 11 construction investment management board.
