On Tuesday, following reports from the public, Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper’s reporters found several bus shelters in various parts of the city being marred and improperly used.
At a shelter on Tay Thanh Street in Tan Phu District, shirts were hung for sale, while more clothes and a pricing sign were set up on the sidewalk next to the shelter.
Another shelter on Le Trong Tan Street in the same district featured a recruitment sign for a local eatery, and its metal walls were covered in graffiti.

In downtown District 1, a beverage cart was parked inside a shelter on Ham Nghi Street, while the station on Tran Hung Dao Street was marred by graffiti.
On Le Loi Boulevard in the same district, a shelter was not only been defaced with graffiti but also had its electronic display used as a makeshift storage shelf.
At the Bay Hien intersection on Truong Chinh Street in Tan Binh District, a shelter was spray-painted with black graffiti, and its electronic board was out of service.

Other shelters with non-functioning electronic displays were spotted on Hung Vuong and Hong Bang Streets in District 5, Le Dai Hanh Street in District 11, and at multiple locations along Truong Chinh Street in Tan Binh District.
These problems not only degrade the cityscape but also pose difficulties for passengers.
According to a Tan Phu resident, broken information boards make it difficult to track bus routes. He called on authorities to repair them promptly to ensure convenience.
