The Southern Regional Hydro-Meteorological Center explained that weakening northeast winds over the East Vietnam Sea, combined with strong subtropical high pressure extending westward, have created unstable atmospheric conditions.
These factors are expected to trigger scattered showers and thunderstorms.
The agency said weather on Wednesday will feature variable clouds and sunshine during the day, though less intense than recent days.
In the evening, scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely, with some areas seeing moderate to heavy rainfall.
Daytime temperatures will decrease slightly, while nighttime temperatures will rise.
The agency warned that the unseasonal rain could damage flowers and plants being prepared for the Lunar New Year holiday, due in the middle of this month, causing broken branches and fallen buds.
Residents are advised to take protective measures to minimize losses.
