The Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center said it suspended the driver immediately after verifying the footage.
The incident, involving a bus operating on route No. 62-5, occurred on Nguyen Van Bua Street in Xuan Thoi Son Commune.
The video, recorded earlier the same day, showed the vehicle moving with two wheels on the sidewalk and the other two on the road, kicking up dust as motorcyclists followed behind.
Traffic police said they had summoned the driver for questioning and were working with the transport center to determine further action.
The video drew criticism online after it was posted by a motorcyclist who recorded the incident.
