Spanning over 186 hectares in Binh Trung Ward, the complex is designed with multiple functional zones to accommodate a wide range of sporting activities.
The cultural and sports zone will include a stadium, indoor arena, aquatic sports center, tennis center, integrated sports facility, and multi-purpose sports center.
The stadium, with a capacity of 65,000-75,000 seats, and the indoor arena, with around 18,000 seats, are expected to be the project’s flagship structures.

Also, an urban public services zone will house facilities for athletes and coaches, a public square, a sports hospital, and a conference and exhibition center.
Green and public-use areas will comprise a park and landscaped spaces.
A technical infrastructure and transport zone will include utility systems and internal road networks.
Once in place, the complex will be capable of hosting major domestic and international sporting events, including the Southeast Asian Games, the Asian Games, regional Olympic competitions, and other international tournaments.
It will also serve as a training ground for elite athletes and a center for sports education, supporting talent development for both Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam as a whole.
The project is expected to elevate Ho Chi Minh City’s profile on the regional and global sports map.
The project will be developed under a public-private partnership framework using a build-transfer (BT) contract, with payments made through land allocation in accordance with regulations.
The estimated total investment is around VND145.6 trillion, covering construction costs, loan interest, and investor profits.
Strategically located at a gateway connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Dong Nai Province and other southern localities, the Rach Chiec complex offers direct access to major transportation routes, including Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Mai Chi Tho Avenue, and Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway.
This prime location ensures convenient connectivity to key transport hubs such as Long Thanh and Tan Son Nhat International Airports, and the new Mien Dong (Eastern) and Western bus stations.

Specifically, the Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro line, the first of its kind in Ho Chi Minh City, is already operational, while future lines, including Metro Line No. 5 along Lien Phuong Street, Line No. 2, and Line No. 7 , north of Rach Chiec, will further enhance accessibility to the complex.
