The directive was recently issued by the chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee as part of a series of commemorative activities celebrating the milestone.

According to the plan, five sites will feature a combination of high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks, while 11 locations will host low-altitude displays.

In particular, the five sites featuring both high- and low-altitude fireworks are located at the Saigon River Tunnel entrance in An Khanh Ward, the central area of Binh Duong Ward, Tam Thang Square in Vung Tau Ward, the Cu Chi Tunnels Historical Site in An Nhon Tay Commune, and the Can Gio coastal tourism urban area.

The scale of the displays will vary by location.

The Saigon River Tunnel site will host the largest show, featuring 1,000 high-altitude fireworks shells, 200 low-altitude shells, 60 G25 low-altitude firing racks, and 18 DBG launch systems.

The 11 low-altitude fireworks venues include the military command area of former Binh Chanh District in Tan Nhut Commune, Ben Noc Memorial Temple in Tang Nhon Phu Ward, the administrative center square in Tan My Ward, the public service supply center in Dat Do Commune, and the Pier 914 historical site in Con Dao Special Zone.

Other display locations are the resettlement park in Ngai Giao Commune, the football field of the cultural, sports and broadcasting center in Dau Tieng Commune, the football field of the cultural, sports and community learning center in Minh Thanh Commune, Vuon Cau Residential Area in Lai Thieu Ward, the Saigon Marina IFC tower area in Saigon Ward, and Hung Vuong Street in Phu My Ward.

Among the low-altitude venues, the fireworks display at Saigon Marina IFC will be one of the most extensive, featuring 90 G25 firing racks, 28 DBG launch systems, and 12,050 FH-30 fireworks tubes.

The fireworks performances will take place from 9:00 pm to 9:15 pm on July 2 and will be broadcast live on HTV9, the channel of Ho Chi Minh City Television.
